Rock FORE! Dough XI
TUESDAY, April 7th
Tickets: RockForeDough.com – Fri, Jan 23 at 10am
$30 advance/$35 Day of Show
The 11th Annual Drive for Show, Rock Fore! Dough is Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Lady Antebellum Pavilion in Evans Towne Center Park. Darius Rucker returns to Augusta to headline the show, which will also feature performances from Sam Hunt, A Thousand Horses and Phillip Lee, Jr.
After being named New Artist of the Year at the 2009 CMA Awards, realizing a life-long dream of becoming a Grand Ole Opry member, having a platinum certified song and winning a Grammy, Darius Rucker is ready to give fans more – his fourth studio album, Southern Style, will be released on March 31, 2015. The new album follows his first three that each reached at Number 1 on the country charts and features his current Top 20 single “Homegrown Honey”. Rucker also recently donated his time to St. Jude singing the song, “Possibilities”, inspired by Augusta’s own childhood cancer survivor, Brennan Simkins.
Sam Hunt, whose debut album, Montevallo, has already reached Number one on the Country Charts, will make his first Rock Fore! Dough appearance. The Georgia native has written songs with Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban and got his first Number 1 single as an artist with “Leave The Night On”. Recently signed to a major label and just announced as a supporting act on Darius Rucker’s new tour, A Thousand Horses is living up to their accolades from Rolling Stone Country as the best up and comer at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Their classic sound, mixed in a modern-country context will be a great addition to Rock Fore! Dough. Rounding out the 2015 lineup is local singer-songwriter Phillip Lee Jr. who combines soulful lyrics and rich melodies with raw vocal talent.
